Fiction
On His Majesty's Secret Service by Charlie Higson
Chapters 5–6 [the end]
Overall, this was a really fun read. It's just long enough to feel substantial (rather than the simple brief tie-in it seems they originally intended), but short enough to move like a whipcrack throughout. It's also packed with fun little nods to real-life events (there's some particularly enjoyable stuff about Charles's pen in the final chapter). Some reviews online complain about the political content, but I thought it was fine... mostly because I agree with it, I guess! I presume the people who object are more on the villain's side than Bond's, and that's their problem.
Now, just let Higson write some full-length adult Bond novels, please.
