Critical Role
2x106 A Fog Lifted [1st half]
With this episode, I’m three-quarters through Campaign 2 — the kind of milestone that has me thinking where I'll go next (not because I'm especially near the end — there's still 169 hours to go — but because, well, that end will come eventually).
CR recently started their Daggerheart-based Age of Umbra miniseries, which runs until the end of July; and by then they’ll have a backlog of live shows to share, which could well fill their August streaming calendar; so Campaign 4 almost certainly won’t start until September at the earliest; some believe it won't begin until 2026 now. Will I have finished Campaign 2 by then? September: probably not; especially as I plan to watch Age of Umbra (I would've started it already, but my free time was unexpectedly upended the past few weeks). The end of 2025: I really should have.
Either way, I’m increasingly certain my plan is to go straight from C2 to C4 (either when I finish C2 or overlapping with the end of it), and then possibly go back to C1 and/or C3 if (when?) once-a-week new episodes are not enough for my CR fix.

this week on 100Films.co.uk
Most months nowadays I only post a single update about what's been happening at 100Films.co.uk, but this month the dates and days fall in such a way that there'll be (at least) two. Wow!
This week, it's time for the regular monthly review...
...but it's not until next week that I'll be posting its companion list of "failures".
So, for once I can actually promise: more next Sunday.

Collection Count
Collection Count tracks my DVD/Blu-ray collection via a number of statistics every week.
Nothing new to report this week. There are a couple of new releases I had my eye on, but the ol' HMV 20% discount isn't working on them yet. Will it ever? Who knows! Maybe they'll be here next week instead. Maybe not.
Number of titles in collection: 3,546 [no change]
Of which DVDs: 985 [no change]
Of which Blu-rays: 2,561 [no change]
— of which Ultra HD Blu-rays: 471 [no change]
Number of discs in collection: 8,544 [no change]
Number of films: 4,498 [no change]
Number of additional cuts: 443 [no change]
Number of TV episodes: 10,146 [no change]
Number of short films: 1,237 [no change]
See you next week, faithful reader.

Second Chances: twenty underrated sequels that deserve another look
by Dan Mecca (from Letterboxd Journal)
I've not seen all of the films on this list, but the ones I have, I agree about; which encourages me to see the rest.

7x13 The One Where Rosita Dies [6th or so watch]
7x14 The One Where They All Turn Thirty [5th or so watch]
Last time I watched these episodes, I went for the 'Super-Sized' original broadcast versions that are included on the series' Blu-ray in SD as a special feature. This time, I just went for the shorter HD versions. It's been so long that nothing in particular stood out as missing, though it's clear in places that the episodes have been cut.
