Collection Count
Collection Count tracks my DVD/Blu-ray collection via a number of statistics every week.
A small challenge for my count this week: I bought Arrow's release of the Mexico Trilogy, which includes just one of the three films in 4K UHD. So is that an Ultra HD release or not? Because obviously it is... but also, like, not. Well, I've counted it below, but labelling it as 4K UHD in my database feels a little inaccurate when 66.6% of the eponymous films in the set aren't.
Anyway, there were nine new titles this week, including two DVD-to-BD and one BD-to-UHD, which altogether looks like this...
Number of titles in collection: 3,356 [up 6]
Of which DVDs: 997 [down 2]
Of which Blu-rays: 2,359 [up 8]
— of which Ultra HD Blu-rays: 385 [up 2]
Number of discs in collection: 8,095 [up 10]
Number of films: 4,139 [up 8]
Number of additional cuts: 396 [up 1]
Number of TV episodes: 9,779 [no change]
Number of short films: 1,168 [no change]
