Six new additions this week, half of them on UHD. Four are upgrades to things I already owned, including all three UHDs, but in two cases I'm keeping my previous copy (one because it's in a box set, and also includes an alternate cut of the film, and the other because it has unique special features). Perhaps it’s a little hardcore for younger fans (and even that aspect has lessened with age, with the chest-ripping special effects looking a little ropey nowadays), but otherwise, what’s there to complain about?Read more here.

This week, I finally got round to upgrading Torchwood series one and two from DVD to Blu-ray. Not sure why — bit of a whim. So two more DVDs go, two more Blu-rays are gained, and overall two discs are lost — although that last one is masked because I also acquired two films on Blu-ray.

Pillow of Death (1945)
[#116 in 100 Films in a Year 2021]
The sixth and final Inner Sanctum Mystery. The series had its moments, but, overall, it's hardly a forgotten gem. I'm not sorry I watched them, but unlike, say, the Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes films, I won't be in a hurry to rewatch them.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)

Rewatchathon 2021 #18
Picking up my Indy rewatch after a longer-than-intended pause. As with Raiders, the watch count is a guess — I have no idea how many times I saw this as a child. It felt like loads, but I was never one of those kids who watched things again and again and again on loop, so it might only have been a couple of times. I guess that's what my count is assuming, anyway. Anyway, the film is really good; probably my favourite Indy movie.
