Dear reader, it has finally happened: just one week after landing on exactly 1,000 titles, my DVD collection drops back into triple figures for the first time since... I don't know when (certainly before I started this series, almost 15 years ago). RIP... that. I do still buy DVDs once in a blue moon, so conceivably it could nip back up over; but it's more likely to drop further, and any new purchases won't lift it up enough... but you never know, eh.

Chapter 4: The Fellowship Splits

Before I bought this, several of the reviews I read talked about it being fairly easy. I guess that must be the case with four players (it's a 1-4 player game), because playing it with two, it took us four attempts to complete this chapter (it's reasonable to expect chapters to get more difficult as you go, but this is only halfway through) and our "corruption tracker" (which carries across chapters, and if you get to the end at any point you lose the entire game) is already 80% complete (and, as I said, we're only 50% through). Maybe we'll be luckier in the second half, but I rather suspect we're going to lose and have to start over long before the end...

Last week, I teased that there could be up to 15 new additions this week. Well, in the end there were 13. You won't see that number below, though, because two were DVD-to-BD upgrades and another was BD-to-4K.

Also worthy of note: my ever-shrinking DVD collection lands on precisely 1,000 titles. It can't be that long before it slips down into just triple figures. Feels like some kind of end of an era...
