William Russell in Conversation
One of the most recent instalments in the ongoing series of long-form interviews included on the classic Doctor Who Blu-ray releases, this one from Season 2. ("Recent" here being a relative term, because this set came out nine months ago, but is (for the moment) the last-but-one release in the range (a new one is out next week); and there wasn't an "in conversation" feature on the last release anyway.)
Russell seems like a lovely man, but he's also clearly very old and a bit frail, and so while interviewer Matthew Sweet tries to gently steer him towards some recollections, it doesn't feel like there's all that much fresh here — Sweet brings most of the stories and facts (presumably researched from previous interviews, etc) and Russell mostly agrees, with the occasional minor extrapolation. Still, seems like a lovely man.
